初めて意識をして見たクラシック世代を辿る(其の壱)-スエヒロジョウオー(1990.4.16)-【オオハシ】
私も案外長いこと競馬を見ていることに気付いてしまいました。現2歳の2009年生まれ世代で都合20世代のクラシックを見ることになります。そりゃ、ピチピチの10代やったのに、30代半ばに差し掛かりますわ(笑)
そんな訳で、初めて意識をして見たクラシック世代である、1990年生まれ世代のGI勝ち馬たちを辿ってみたいと思います。
折しも阪神ジュベナイルフィリーズ(GI)の開催週ということで、スタートは彼女から。

出走16頭中いちばん小さな390kgの馬体もなんのその、大外から一気の末脚を見せたスエヒロジョウオー。2着にも398kgのマイネピクシー(1990.3.26)が頑張り、結果、出走馬の中で2頭しかいなかった「馬体重300kg台の馬」によるワンツーフィニッシュとなりました。9番人気と12番人気、人気薄どうしの決着により馬連配当は120,740円。この配当は、現在でもGIレースの馬連の最高配当記録として残っています。
日本では馬体の小さな馬というのは、総じて、繁殖入りした際に「どうだろうか?」とクエスチョンマークが投げ付けられます。しかし、それでもスエヒロジョウオー、GI勝ち馬の矜持を見せて、初仔スエヒロコマンダー(1995.3.25)が鳴尾記念(当時GII、現GIII)、小倉大賞典(GIII)の重賞2勝を含むJRA7勝を挙げたのを始め、産駒7頭がJRA勝ち、1頭が地方勝ちを収めるなど繁殖牝馬としても成功しました。特に「サスガはスエヒロジョウオー」と思ったのは、イナズマローレル(2001.4.25)がJRA3勝を挙げたことですね。イナズマローレル、netkeiba.comのデータベースによると、父ピルサドスキー(1992.4.25)の牝馬としては最も稼いだ馬でした。
また、日本では「重賞勝ち馬の種牡馬の母」によく知るGI勝ち馬を見付けるのは難しいのですが、スエヒロコマンダーの娘であるイナズマアマリリス(2006.4.25)のファンタジーS(GIII)勝ちにより、そちらも遂げてしまいました。やるなぁ、スエヒロジョウオー。

血統記事の書き手としては、やはり、スエヒロジョウオーの父であるトウショウペガサスにも触れておかないといけませんね。ソシアルトウショウの息子トウショウペガサスは中山記念(GII)、ダービー卿CT(GIII)と重賞2勝を挙げ、マイルCS(GI)2着、朝日杯3歳S(現朝日杯FS、GI)2着もあった活躍馬。GI勝ちという金看板を持たずに繁殖入りしたトウショウペガサスでしたが、「トウショウボーイの甥」という血統のポテンシャルの高さを見せたのは、むしろ種牡馬として、でした。
トウショウペガサスの繁殖成績を見ると、全14世代で315頭の種付けに対して、生産頭数193頭、血統登録頭数186頭。特筆すべきは出走頭数145頭に対して勝ち馬頭数が100頭、勝ち上がり率が6割9分。Herod(1758)～Tourbillon(1928)系に加え、駒数の少なさが競走意欲を燃やしたのか、ダンディルートの直孫たち。JRAでオープン勝ち馬となったのは、本稿で取り上げたスエヒロジョウオー、フェブラリーS(GI)と中山金杯(GIII)でダート芝重賞を制して9勝を挙げたグルメフロンティア(1992.4.19)、11戦7勝でパラダイスS(OP)勝ちのある初年度産駒トウショウフリート(1988.4.27)。
ちなみに、トウショウフリートは初年度産駒3頭のうちの1頭で、ソシアルバターフライ3×3の牝馬クロス、母リバートウショウの初仔、更にはトウショウペガサスの0交配、母父ニゾンの0交配と、中島理論的にはツッコミどころ満載の配合馬でした(^_^;)

ちょっとお話がトウショウペガサスからトウショウフリートに逸走してしまいました。閑話休題。という訳で、スエヒロジョウオー。確認したところ、今年2011年5月27日を以て用途変更で繁殖牝馬を引退したようです。スエヒロコマンダーから始まり13年連続で仔を産んだ後、不受胎、流産と2年連続でお腹が空いて2010年3月14日生まれの14番仔が父アドマイヤムーン(2003.2.23)の娘、最後の2011年3月15日生まれの15番仔が父ディープスカイ(2005.4.24)の息子とのこと。
日本ではあまり見られない「高齢牝馬の前年産駒なし後の重賞勝ち馬」も、「スエヒロジョウオーの娘ならば、もしかしたら」と思わせてくれます。もちろん、最後の息子も「父母の年齢差が15歳あるから。若い種馬の馬力でなんとか」とも思います。
振り返れば、競走馬としても、繁殖牝馬としても一流だったスエヒロジョウオー。これからは、ただただ、健やかに余生を過ごして欲しいものです。
